Damion Damar Redmond was born April 11, 1971, to John Redmond and Barbara Tatum in Tucson, Arizona. At an early age, he and his mother relocated to Dallas, Texas. He attended and graduated from Wilmer Hutchins High School in 1989.
Upon graduation, Damion worked at JC Penny in the Customer Sales Department, Addison, TX. He later began working at PRM Financials as a Collections Agent and D & P Carpet Cleaning as a Carpet Technician. From there, Damion began working as a Courier at FedEx. His most recent employment was at The City of Dallas in the Parking Enforcement Division.
In 2001, Damion married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Eliamar Norman. It is through this union they had 3 children: Damion Jr., Stori and Jayce. Damion was a dedicated husband and father who loved nothing more than being with his family. He enjoyed talking and joking around with everyone especially his uncle Rodney Tatum, daily. In his spare time, Damion loved listening to music, watching sports and watching the news. To anyone who knew him, they would say he was one of the kindest and open-hearted young man you could have ever met.
Damion is survived by his devoted and loving wife Eliamar Redmond, daughter, Stori Redmond and son Jayce Redmond of Lancaster, Texas. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Barbara Tatum of Tucson, Arizona, his Father and Mother in-love, Elder Billy (Juanita) Norman, brothers-in-love, Marcel (Wanda) Norman, Gillermo (Sharon) Norman and Manolito Norman, sisters-in-love, Danielle (Donald) McCoo, Chavela (Fiona) Norman, and Hope (Michael) Davis; his aunt, Patricia Ann Tatum, his uncles Bobby (Barbara) Tatum and Rodney Tatum, host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Damion is preceded in death by his son, Damion Damar Redmond, Jr; his father, John Redmond, his beloved grandmother, Leonia Lacy Tatum and grandfather OC Tatum and his aunt Karen Tatum.
A celebration of life for Damion will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Friendship West Baptist Church, 2020 W Wheatland Rd, Dallas, Dallas, TX 75232.
