Cynthia Pearl Bowman

Cynthia was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, Don Amerigo Bowman, & her beloved parents, Mattie and Bill Capps of Dallas, Texas. She is survived by brother and sister-in-law; Arthur Capps & Violet Capps, niece Julie & husband Gerry John, great nephews; Collin McGrath & Evan John, nephew Jonathan Capps & wife Yolanda Capps, many cousins & friends, and her beloved fur baby, Marie.

She was a graduate of Samuell High School, and later the University of Texas at Dallas. Cynthia retired from her job as Controller after 35 years in 2018. She loved working in her yard with her flowers, and like her husband, was an avid and accomplished bowler for many years. Her family & friends affectionately knew her as “Cookie.” She collected owl figurines and other collectibles, amassing a large collection over her lifetime.

A visitation for Cynthia will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228 with a funeral service at 2:00 PM and a graveside service to follow.
