Born July 11, 1950 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He quietly passed away on June 30, 2011 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Dallas. Throughout his long stay at the hospital, Cliff showed his family and friends the true spirit of courage in his battle with his illness. Cliff graduated from Highland Park High School having served as the HP ROTC Drill Team Commander his senior year. He attended Schreiner Institute in Kerrville, Texas, before transferring to The University of Texas. In 1972 Cliff participated in SCCA auto racing with a Formula Ford Team as both a crew member and official. He enjoyed becoming acquainted with racing celebrities like actor Paul Newman, Indy Car driver A J Foyt, and Formula One driver Sterling Moss during his pursuit of this sport. Cliff finished his academic pursuits at SMU and entered into the business of Advertising. Cliff became Senior VP of Champney and Associates before starting his own firm, The Cliff Hill Company. Cliff’s father, Tony Hill, passed in 1991 and he is survived by his mother, Mickey Hill, who is in a residential care home in Richardson, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, Texas 75225.
