Cleo Hicks Campbell was born September 25, 1936 in Carthage, Texas to Ralton and Elberta Hicks. Cleo was number four of five siblings born to this union. Cleo was united in marriage to William Campbell on December 12, 1959. They celebrated fifty-seven wonderful years of marriage loving each other until the end. Cleo was the mother of three daughters and three sons. Cleo was employed at Blue Cross and Blue Shield for over 20 years where she retired in 1996. After retirement, she went to work for Dallas Independent School District as a testing coordinator. Cleo was a strong advocate for education and political awareness. She taught her children and grandchildren the importance of family, friends and fellowship. She was an active member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church for over fifty years, serving faithfully as a member of Usher Board #1 and Secretary of Mission #1 for many years. Her commitment to her duties was unwavering. Cleo loved to bake and shop for her family and friends. On November 10, 2107, just before the break of day, Cleo transitioned from this earthly life to her eternal home in Glory, welcomed by her Parents, Husband, William C.
