Born on December 6, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA., the daughter of Jack and Maria Kelly, she moved to Dallas in 1960.
Clare is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald C Murphy, her loving daughters Maria Dau and Eileen Richards, their husbands Brent and John and seven grandchildren, and her loving step son Ben Murphy and his wife Kate and their two children. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Susan and Elizabeth, her brother Jack and her first husband Joseph F McKinney.
Clare and Ron loved to entertain and did so frequently at their home on Jourdan Way. They enjoyed Springtime in Paris on Avenue Kleber, yearly while in good health and frequently visited Ron's son in Sydney, Australia. Clare was active for many years in Crystal Charity Ball and The Arboretum serving on several committees. She was also a member of Brookhollow Golf Club and The French Heritage Society. Shortly after she arrived in Dallas she joined Christ the King Catholic Church where she and Ron celebrated their marriage. Clare was deeply grateful for the care afforded by her loyal helpmates and companions Joanna, Diana and LT particularly as her health declined. Ron and Clare much appreciate the services of Seasons Hospice for their loving care, particularly that of Doctor Namirah Jamshed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, October 27 at 10:00 am at Christ The King Catholic Church on Preston Road in Dallas, to which all friends are invited. There will be a brief reception at the Church immediately following the service. Interment at Calvary Hill Cemetery will be held privately.
