Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Christopher and Mary Rose (McGinnis) Quinn. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Theresa (White) and brother, John. He is survived by his sister, Marylou Fiedler (Ray) and by his 6 children: Maureen Quinn (Kumar Barve), Christopher Quinn (Kay), Kathleen Wallace, Marie Krim, Theresa (Bart Labowitz) and Kevin (Bonnie). He is survived by his 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Chris served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959 and earned a Bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. He spent his career at TV Guide Magazine, both in Philadelphia and Dallas and was SW Regional Operations Director when the magazine had the highest circulation of any publication.
Above all things, Chris loved being a father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved being an Irish Catholic and was a fan of Notre Dame football and the Philadelphia Eagles. He read the New York Times every day, was always very handsomely dressed and dined at nearly every fine Italian restaurant in Dallas. Linguini and clams with a martini was his favorite.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 29, from 3pm-7pm at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home, 10501 Garland Rd., Dallas. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, December 30 at St. Jude’s Catholic parish in Allen, TX. at 10 am followed by a luncheon reception at the church. Internment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:30pm.
