Charles was born in Houston, Texas on March 26, 1944, to Charles O. Warren and Bertha Mae (Gabler) Warren. He graduated from S.P. Waltrip High School and continued his studies at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas before joining the U.S. Air Force in 1965.
While in the Air Force, Charles served as a radar specialist in the Philippines and Germany during the Vietnam War. He met his first wife, Lilian (Ericson) Warren, while stationed in Germany. They settled in Houston where their son, Charles O. Warren III was born.
Following his time in the military, Charles became an independent insurance agent. Later in life he served as a marine electronics technician and a master data management consultant. His love for researching and buying and selling antiques, born during his tour in Germany, straddled the line between hobby and vocation. In his spare time, Charles enjoyed hunting, bowling, and cheering for his hometown Astros.
He is survived by his son, Charles O. Warren III and wife Ann-Moree (Tannen) Warren, his sister, Myra (Warren) Day and husband David Day, nephew, Michael Lackwood, and various cousins.
A graveside service for Charles will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211. Those able to attend will need to arrive by 9:45 for the procession to the grave.
