Charles, I love you and miss you so much. Every morning I listen  to you getting up and preparing for your day. Every evening I sit and wait for you to come home. You have been gone for almost a year now but the memories are still fresh. My Faith tells me you can read these words and feel my love. I feel I will be joining you soon.  I keep falling and can barely walk. Missing you. Please meet me at the gates, take my hand. and lead me to Cody, Lea, and all those who left us too soon, Love you, Karen

Charlie, You left the building too soon! I am proud to have known you and to have learned so much from you about Dallas Water Utilities. Without you, the Municipal Archives would not have nearly as rich a collection. I greatly enjoyed getting to know you and learning my way around city hall. Gentleman and Scholar, your kindness and vision will not be forgotten.

It was a privilege to work with Charlie at the City of Dallas.  He was so skilled in his profession.  He will be missed.

Well, I guess you will just have to wait until I get there to hear about it. You will be missed in many circles. May the good Lord hold you in the palm of his hand.

I will miss Charlie as a fellow water industry professional, but mostly as a friend. I can carry with me in my life many fond memories of discussions and dinners with Charlie. I convey my most sincere sympathy to Charlie's family.

Charlie will be greatly missed...especially hearing him tell is funny stories.   My deepest sympathy is with the Stringer family.

The City of Combine would like to express their deepest condolences to the family. Mr. Stringer served the Citizens of Combine in the capacity of Mayor and his service was appreciated. We are sure he will be missed.

Another member of our family has left us. Much to soon in Pudge's case. Although we were not close my thoughts of him are only the best, as he was.

Charlie was a good friend and professional colleague.  He was an excellent chemist and engineer that did much to advance water service and delivery to the citizens of Dallas and all of Dallas' customer cities.  His sense of humor and contribution to the water sector is going to be greatly missed.

Charlie was a great story-teller. He could help you see a spark of humor to lighten up even the toughest situations. My heart goes out to Charlie's family.

Charlie will be missed by many in The Pumping Division. May the love of God  comfort your family.

Charlie worked well with all of us. He would always have a way to make you laugh. (No matter how serious we tried to be.)  Charlie we will miss you. Rest in peace. Sympathy to his family.

Charlie's somewhat unusual sense of humor had a way of catching me off guard.  I appreciated that in the midst of dealing with important or serious issues.  Thanks for all the support that was provided to me.  The Stringer family needs a bit grace and peace during some difficult times with this and other situations.  I pray that God grants those things and everything else needed as life continues.

Charlie, you will be missed by so many people.  You touched a lot of lives with your kindness, intelligence and humor.  My deepdest sympathy to your family.  May they find strength and comfort in a loving God.  TL

Charles you know you will truly be missed. I am very thankful that you and your family came into my life. My heart goes out to the family.

Charles was one of the most impressive people I have ever known.
Charles and Karen and their family are very dear to my heart and I
have the highest respect for all of them.  Charles is now in heaven with
Jesus and the Holy Angels.  No doubt he had an abundant entrance into
heaven.  He is joining with all praising and giving glory to God.  You are
greatly missed here on earth but I am so thankful to have known you.
