Charles Morris Schwartz, son of Shirley Bomart and Murray Schwartz, was born on January 5, 1948 in New York City. He passed away February 6, 2024 in Dallas, TX. Charles attended undergraduate school at University of Wisconsin in Madison, and then NYU Stern School of Business from 1969-1972. In 1972, he began Harvard Law School and graduated in 1975. Charles became a partner at Hughes and Luce in 1975 and then continued his career as a partner at Gibson, Dunn, & Crutcher in 1995.
Charles was a foodie and enjoyed cooking unique dinners every night. Other hobbies included watching movies, reading the New York Times, traveling, and playing poker. He absolutely loved doting on his two grandchildren and bringing them suitcases full of gifts.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Karen Schwartz Alpert and her husband, Greg; daughter, Jamie Lee Schwartz; grandchildren, Zoey Lila Alpert and Holden Luke Alpert; nephew, Matthew Spiro; and niece, Sara Spiro.
