Carolyn was born in Nebraska in 1939. She lived most of her childhood in Colorado then moved to Central Nebraska where she finished school, married and raised her children. In 1986, she moved to North Texas. She loved her Texas life and often said “she wasn’t born here, but she got here as soon as she could”. She held only four jobs over her lifetime and retired from two of them. She always believed loyalty stood for something whether it be personal or professional. She was a devoted mother, a loving grandmother and a proud great grandmother. Family was everything and time spent together was a true blessing. She loved the Christmas season and during her time in Nebraska was known for having an amazing light display, complete with life-size nativity scene. She was enamored by the wonderment of the holiday and enjoyed giving amazing gifts to those she loved. Even in the midst all of the merriment she made sure everyone knew the reason for the season and that Christ is King. She loved to laugh, dance in the living room, pull a good prank, and to support and cheer for her family.
Carolyn is preceded in death by Frank (husband), Deanna (stepdaughter), Albert and Margaret (parents), Marvin, Larry and Norma Lea (siblings).
