Brady Dan Parker

Brady Dan Parker left this earthly home on June 16, 2022 from numerous complications from a staph infection originating from a brown recluse spider bite.

Brady was born April 12, 1979 to parents Kathy and Tommy Dan Parker, in Dallas, TX. In, 2003, Brady married Lori Bandy. Although they later separated, their commitment gave them two children, Hannah Grace, 14, and Adam Thomas, 8. Brady loved spending time with his children, and attending their sporting events.

Brady was predeceased by his mother, Kathy Parker; his Nanny, Louise Henson; Papaw, Ralph Henson; Uncle, Jerry Henson; Grandma, Mary Parker; and Papa John Parker.

Left to cherish his memory: father, Tommy Dan Parker; children, Hannah Grace and Adam Thomas; sister, Brandi Ann Hopkins and husband Chris; two nephews Callen and Ethan; two uncles, Jerry Parker and wife Chris; and Aunt Sue; Joe Parker and wife Avis, as well as extended family, friends, mentors, and co-workers who helped Brady become the kind and caring person he was… a man with a heart of gold that would do anything for those he loved, or those in need of help.

Brady started his work career at Soulman’s BBQ with owners and dad’s longtime friends, Don and Teresa Hallett, and became lifelong friends with coworkers, Jim Ray, Skip Huey, Willie, and more. Brady continued his work career which included GTM Plastics, U-Haul, Flowers Bakery, and Halliburton.

When Brady was 7 years old, he began martial arts (karate) at Southeast YMCA Martial Arts. Under the leadership of Bob and Margaret Beasley; instructors Mr. Brice Anthony and Mr. John Knauf, and numerous others, Brady flourished. Mr. Anthony became Brady’s private tutor and mentor, and created competition Katas; which led to numerous trophies and competitions.

Due to unfortunate circumstances in the past couple years, Brady struggled some. By the grace of God, Mr. Brice Anthony, owner of Caddo Kai Karate recently reconnected with Brady and invited him to help as an instructor. Brady loved instructing and quickly became very close with the kids. With Mr. Anthony’s friendship and guidance, Brady developed a positive outlook for his future, which we all could see.
