Betty Ann Cannon was born June 06, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA and passed away July 22, 2015 in Mesquite, TX. She was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and Draughons Business College. She was an employee of Atlantic Richfield, Arco BP for over 37 years. She worked various jobs after retirement. She volunteered at Baylor Hospital as a candy striper, several years as a nanny after her retirement, making bereavement meals for St Michael Archangel Catholic Church. Betty loved to paint, sketch and work with oils and pastels producing several canvases of landscapes and still life art. She studied under Otis Dozier in her younger days. She also worked with mosaic tile doing several pieces for work offices in telecommunications for Arco which were displayed in the downtown offices. She enjoyed gardening and landscaping. She grew various tomato, pepper plants, as well as blooming and green plants. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Elizabeth and Charles Totebusch; brother, Charles Totebusch, Jr. and sister, Sheila Totebusch. She is survived by her sister, Charlotte Whaley 91 years old and her children: daughter Carolyn Davis and son Richard William Cannon; grandchildren Paula Cannon, Christy Seibert, David Patterson, Chris Anderson; great grandchildren Marissa Seibert, Micah Seibert, Kalli Seibert, Devin Patterson, Kelsey Patterson, Draven Patterson; also survived by five nieces and nephews: John Whaley, Robert Whaley, Jeannie Lorentz and Joel Totebusch. Mother's special times were Christmas and holidays, when she liked to prepare elaborate meals. She enjoyed shopping and getting just the right outfits for her grandchildren. In later years she became interested in puzzles, working many. Crossword puzzles were a great hobby of hers, which occupied her time. She enjoyed her TMC cable network and knew many if not all the old movie stars by name. Mother sewed and embroidery that was taught to her by her mother. She was a bowling enthusiast and part of an All Women’s bowling league in her earlier years. She was loved by everyone and will be dearly missed.
