Audrey Linda Beilharz

She was born in Dallas, TX on June 21, 1934 to Weldon Dixon and Frances Slack Langran. Growing up, she spent time in Dallas, Chicago and Los Angeles and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1953. She studied art at Southern Methodist University and worked at the architecture firm Broad-Nelson and several art galleries.

Audrey married the love of her life, Leslie Beilharz, on September 5, 1959. They lived in University Park, Texas, raised 3 children and lived happily ever after.

Audrey always had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and is a long time and active member of Highland Park United Methodist Church and the Roundtable Sunday school class. She was a life-long, avid reader and spent many hours combining her love of reading with her creativity decorating the library window at HPUMC.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years Leslie E. Beilharz of Dallas, TX; a son Steve and his wife Lily; son Kurt and wife Michelle; daughter Susie Chapman and her husband Mark and her grandsons Hunter Beilharz, Tristan Beilharz, Jack Chapman and Nick Chapman and her favorite granddaughter Jessica Beilharz; her sisters Jann Coleman and Phyllis Langran both of San Antonio. She had many life-long friends and never forgot a birthday of her family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX 75225. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Sparkman/Hillcrest.
