The life of Arthur Adams, a loving, caring man has served to remind us that life’s sun will set. Life and death is God promised goal, so trust God’s promise and doubt him never for only through death can man live forever.
Arthur Adams transitioned from this earthly life, May 14, 2021 and started his heavenly journey.
Arthur was born in Tyler, TX unto Elisha Adams and Eddie Mae Williams Adams, on September 24, 1945. He attended Stanton School in Whitehouse, TX where he graduated high school in 1964. He later received vocational training in air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration.
He became employed with The Marriott Corporation and shortly afterwards was drafted unto the Army Division of the United States Military, where he served from 1966 to 1971. Upon his honorary discharge he returned to work with The Marriott Corporation and later retired in 2008 after 45 years of service.
During this time, he met Delores Aaron in 1967 and married December 11, 1968. Early in life, Arthur became affiliated with the Mount Nevelton C.M.E. Church, located in Bullard, TX.
Arthur had a passion for fishing and enjoyed sharing this with his family and friends. He was a member of the Dallas Bass Hooker fishing club and affiliated with Quad State Bass Club. He enjoyed competing in various fishing tournaments and he volunteered to mentor the youth. He also enjoyed participating in and conducting annual youth fishing derbies. His hobbies were hunting, throwing family parties, listening to music, and he was an avid football fan of the Dallas Cowboys team. ‘How Bout Them Boys’!!!!!
He was preceded in death by his parents the late Elisha Adams and Eddie Mae Adams, siblings Cynthia Adams and Marvin Adams, brothers-in-law Bobby Jones and Joe Culberson, sister-in-law Ernesteen Adams and Willie Ruth Adams.
He leaves to cherish his memories and is survived by his wife of 52 years, Delores Aaron Adams; only child Celeste Adams “Cesie”; two grandchildren: Taurek Adams and Ayesha Scott; Siblings: Theotha Adams, Melvin Adams, Dorothy Jones, Maurice Adams (Shirley), Shirley Mitchell (Ernest), Beulah Culberson, Winnie Buford (Leonard), and a host of nieces and nephews, and numerous other family and friends.
