Ann Lovelady Mitchell

Ann was born on July 25, 1941 in Wichita Falls, Texas, the eldest of four children. Her father worked for Shell Oil and moved to Houston, TX and then to Knoxville, TN where Ann graduated from Bearden High School in 1959.

Ann moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL and had two sons Scott and Phil. She and her family moved to South Africa staying there until 1981, then moved to El Paso, TX then to Lewisville, TX and ended up in Dallas, TX, where she was a faithful member of the Prestoncrest Church of Christ.

Ann found joy being around people and worked in billing for a doctor in McKinney, a catering company manager and also cared for people at a local retirement facility. She was actively involved in Bible studies and volunteered at a local hospital.

She is survived by her 2 sons Scott (Brenda) and Phil (Tim), Granddaughters Jenna (Cyle) and Kali (Jacob), great granddaughter Jade, her sisters Gay (Bill), Mollie and Mary and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends January 5, 2025 from 4:00pm till 6:00pm at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home on Northwest Highway in Dallas, Tx. A funeral service will be held on January 6, 2025 at 11:00am at Prestoncrest Church of Christ in Dallas followed with a Burial at 2:30 pm at Vashti Cemetery in Vashti, Clay County Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ann L Mitchell to: Beacon Hospice Center of South Portland, Maine or a Hospice Center of your choice and/or Prestoncrest Church of Christ in Dallas,TX.
