Julia Ann Crawford Bradley was born in Durant, Oklahoma ,on December 12, 1934, the oldest of three children of K.B. and Hazel Mae Crawford. She died of heart complications on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.
Ann is survived by her husband of 63 years and her younger sister, Sandra Crawford, of Dallas. Her other sibling, Kenneth, is deceased along with her parents.
Ann received her BS and MS degrees in Education form Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, and taught at the high school for several years before joining the faculty of Midwestern State’s Business School. In 1959, she married Bradford Bradley, the love of her life, who was an officer in the U.S. Air Force at Sheppard AF Base. In 1961, Ann and Brad moved to Ft. Worth where Brad resumed his career with IBM. Ann taught at several high schools in Ft. Worth, her last being Eastern Hills High School where she served as a career counselor. When Brad started a computer company, they moved to Dallas, but she remained with the Ft. Worth school system until she retired from teaching in 1985.
Ann and Brad helped organize and fund a men’s clothing boutique named Cravate in Highland Park Village ,which she managed for 16 years. They were charter members of Park Cities Presbyterian Church in Dallas and were very active and longtime members of the Good News Class.
A memorial service and reception celebrating Ann’s life will be held in the Chapel of Park Cities Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, August 17th, at 10:00 AM.
Donations in lieu of flowers should be sent to the Goodland Academy in Hugo, Oklahoma, which was one of Ann’s favorite charities.
