Anise YEvonne Drew, of Carrollton, Texas passed away in peace and went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2024 at the age of 92. YEvonne a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother will be remembered by all as a sweet and kind mother who dearly loved the Lord, her husband, children and grandchildren. YEvonne grew up in East Dallas and attended Pleasant Grove High School where she first met the love of her life, Kirk Drew. They dated in High School and were active in Young Life Christian Fellowship. After graduating, they were married on November 28th 1950. YEvonne devoted her life to her husband and caring for their four children, 12 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Kirk and YEvonne lived in Houston and San Antonio during the early years of Kirk’s High School coaching career. YEvonne has always had a strong Christian faith and passed that heritage down to her children. They moved to Carrollton/Farmers Branch in 1966 and became active members of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton (now known as First Baptist Church of Carrollton at The Fields) which YEvonne has been a member for over 35 years. She was the kindest and sweetest, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all of us.
YEvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Kirk Drew and also by her parents Harvey and Anise Trimble, and her brothers Donald and Ray Trimble and sisters Katie Lou McCommas, and Frances Fogg.
YEvonne’s memory is cherished by her children: Byron and Laura Drew, Kaye and Maxwell Barr, Kevin and Becky Drew, John and Amy Drew.
Grandchildren: David Drew, Jason and Mary Ellen Drew, Wesley and Erika Drew, Aaron and Sarah Barr, Johnathan and Christy Barr, Meridith and Barrett Durst, Patrick and Kendra Drew, Matthew Drew, Kaitlyn and Anthony Martone, Brenden Drew, Brycen Drew, Kindall Drew.
Great grandchildren: Natalia Drew, Micaela Drew, Nathaniel Barr, Lily Barr, Caleb Barr, Asher Barr, Ethan Barr, Mackenzie Barr, Emmitt Drew, Mary Barbara Drew, Kevin Drew, and Ruby Drew.
Sister Betty Inman, Brother-law Bobby Drew wife Martha, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 9:00am Monday, December 16th followed by services at 10:00am at First Baptist Church at The Fields, 1401 Carrollton Parkway, Carrollton, Texas 75010
Internment following the services at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park in the Bennett Family Garden, 12649 Lake June Rd., Balch Springs, Texas 75180.
