Andrew J. “Andy” Lacey, born November 2, 1926 in Reading, PA to Andrew and Sophia Lacey, went to be with our heavenly father surround by his family on December 12, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Roseanne of Frisco; daughter, Charlene Lacey Neils and husband Ken of Manhattan, KS, two grandchildren, Ashley and Andrew; daughter, Becki Lacey of Lake Jackson, TX, one grandson, Graham; daughter Laraine Lacey Goessler and husband Mark, of Lewisville, TX, three grandchildren, Andrew, Alexander and Maggie; son Andrew Lacey and wife Kim of Richland, WA, two grandchildren, Lexi and Lainie; son Tommy Lacey and wife Barbara of Naperville, IL, two grandchildren, Garrett King and Jordan King.
He graduated from Reading Catholic High School, Reading, PA in 1944. He then graduated from Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute, Wyomissing, PA in 1946 as an electrical design engineer. He served his country in Navy Aviation in both WWII and the Korean War. After his service, he started working at Gilbert’s Engineering in Reading, PA. He then spent 38 years at Bechtel Power Corporation in Electrical Engineering, retiring in 1992. His career took him to North Hollywood, CA; Damascus, MD; Sugar Land, TX and Jupiter, FL. While retired, he lived Las Vegas, NV and eventually Frisco, TX.
He was a great husband, father, “Pop Pop”, brother, and friend to all that knew and loved him. He will be missed by all.
A Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 19th, at 2:30 pm, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Frisco, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Knights of Columbus, St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Frisco, TX.
