Alice Frieda Huse, daughter of Rudolph and Emma Barsum Huse. She was born in Malone, Texas on March 8, 1919. Baptized April 6, 1919 at Salem confirmed April 9, 1933 in Salem Lutheran Church. She was one of 16 children born in that family of eight boys and eight girls. She attended Salem Lutheran School til the 7th grade and was active in the Walter League, choir, and other church duties. During her life time she also a member of St. Paul Aleman, Grace Lutheran Dallas, Peace Lutheran Garland, St. Paul Lutheran Dallas and was a member of Christ Lutheran since moving to Hillsboro in 1996. She is preceded in death by her parents and the following brothers Erich, Alfred, Rudolph Jr., Herman, Adolph, Arthur, Martin and Herbert Huse and sisters Annie Childers, Lydia Huse, Helen Banik, Sophie Wenzel, Erma Smalley and Edna Gummelt. Alice was married to Herbert Wenzel on October 12, 1938 two children were born to this union, Milton Herbert (Sonny) Wenzel and Evangelene Ann Wenzel Terry. This marriage ended in1961. Her son preceded her in death October 17, 1997. She is also preceded in death by her husband Herman Rollins on December 30, 1994 after 30 years and five days of marriage. On December 25, 1964 Alice was joined in marriage to Herman Wesley Rollins in Grace Lutheran Church in Dallas, Texas. They lived in Dallas for 30 years. Alice remained in their home until November 4, 1996 where she moved to Hillsboro and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. Alice is survived by one sister Ruth Young of Tomball; one daughter Ann Terry and her husband James of Frisco, TX; one grandson Robert Landon; one granddaughter Lorie; one great granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth all of Waxahachie, TX. Step great granddaughter Alexis Lopez; one sister-in-law Charlotte Wenzel of Hamilton, TX and one brother-in-law Rev. Harold Carisle and many nieces, nephews, friends, extended family members and all friends at Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, TX and St. Paul Lutheran Church. All were loved dearly.
