Alice Mae Dam (Helms), age 88, passed away on August 2, 2022 in Lavon, Texas. She was born on November 15, 1933 in Newark, New Jersey to Robert Francis and Hazel Irene Helms. Alice was raised in North Arlington, New Jersey and graduated from Kearny High School in 1950.
She married James Joseph Dam in 1955 and the couple had six children. She was a devoted mother and housewife.
In her spare time, Alice enjoyed going to Church, gathering with friends and family, gardening, singing and doing all sorts of crafts.
Her family and friends will always remember her as a kind, compassionate, giving, fun, loving and free spirited person.
She is survived by: her husband, James Joseph Dam; children, Barbara, James, Donna, Mary, Russell and Diana; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
