James Bundy, 43, of Kings Mountain passed away peacefully, at home, on Thursday evening July 20, 2023. James was born September 16, 1979 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. His parents are Sandra (Brooks) Bundy and David Bundy.
James was family oriented. He loved his wife, his son, his parents, his sister, his nephew and all his extended family. James loved to cook and entertain. He had a big personality. He was a people person and he loved nothing more than being surrounded by his family and friends. He often had cookouts and he lovingly called his house the “swine and bovine garden.” James had a huge heart and he would always help anyone who needed help. He also liked to fish. Professionally, James was a welder and pipe fitter. He was proud of his work and he worked hard. He started working when he was just 14 or 15. He loved to work and his family thinks he would be still working had his health not gotten the better of him. James was fighter and he refused to let any illness or conditions stop him. He fought until the very end. James will be dearly missed by his wife, his son, his parents, his sister, his nephew, his friend and neighbors and all that knew and loved him.
James is survived by his loving wife, Alea Bundy, of the home, his son, Logan Bundy, his parents, Sandra and David Bundy and his sister, Mary (Bundy) Glover and Mary’s son, James’ nephew, James “Jamey” Glover. His aunts, Sabrina Bundy (Ellen Byrd), Melanie Van Opstal (Chuck), Stephanie Carpenter, Reba Bare (Mike) and Lynn Ruppe (Cecil) and uncles Gary Brooks (Belinda) and Billy Brooks (Glenda) are all also deeply affected by James’ passing. James leaves behind a multitude of other extended family member and many deep personal friends.
