Edgar Rogers

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joseph Edgar Rogers, wish to announce his passing on June 13, 2018 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, at the age of 91.

Edgar was the only son of the late John and Annie Rogers of Dalhousie, NB. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lillian Rogers. he will be dearly missed by his four children, Mitchell (Monique) Fredericton, Doug (Aurore) Ottawa, Judy (John Noble) Prince Edward Island and Kim (Doug Prosser) Fredericton. His nine grand children, whom "Grampa" adored: Daniel, Luc, Melissa, Jeffrey, Jonathan, Jay, Andrew, Emily & Adam as well as three beautiful great grand children: Isabelle, Shawn & Charlotte.

Until the age of 78, Edgar would often be found on the ski slopes in Campbellton as a ski instructor or just skiing down the slopes. When he was not skiing, he would also spend his time speed skating, roller blading, biking, playing tennis or what he truly enjoyed the most was to be on the dance floor with the love of his life, Lillian. Edgar and Lillian spent many years ballroom dancing and were known to many as the “Jive King and Queen of the dance floor”. They enjoyed spending their summers touring in their motor home often accompanied by a grandchild or two. Edgar and Lillian enjoyed 15 wonderful years camping in Cap Pelé where they made many lifelong friends

Edgar's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Foyer Chez Emma (previously Rose St. Pierre Home Care) for their caring and loving devotion, as well as a special thank you to Edgar's good friend, Kerry. Thank you also to the staff at the Regional Hospital for their special care.

The funeral mass will be held at St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie NB on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 2pm. At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. A reception will follow the funeral at the church.

Memorial donations can be sent to Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.

They will be dancing together in heaven.
