Richard was the eldest of 9 children. Betty, Ruth, Naomi, Bill, Clarence, Bob, Harry and Howard. Betty, Ruth and Bill all proceded him in death.
He was a WWII Veteran. He served in the US ARMY from 1943-1946. He received a Victory Medal - Army of Occupation - Germany. He was stationed in Belgium.
Richard had 2 children, Gary preceded in death and Janet (Reeves).
In 1960 they moved from Detroit MI to California.
He married his second wife, Irma (Henri) Avina on January 1, 1969. Irma passed away on August 12, 2018. They would have celebrated 50 years of marriage.
They lived in Culver City CA until 2016. They owned JM Fishing Tackle in North Hollywood, CA, until they retired and sold the business.
Irma had 3 sons, George, Richard and Henry.
Together they have 14 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.
They traveled all over the world but their favorite place to visit was Las Vegas, NV.
Richard was a good, kind, giving man. He will be dearly missed.
