Louise Katherine Short

Louise Katherine Short, 94, of Bealeton, VA went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2023. She was born on December 11,1928 in Fauquier County to the late Lanquin M. and Virginia Gay Barron. She was preceded in death by her son, Roy W. Gray; daughter, Sharon Kilby; and granddaughter, Tammy Kilby. She is survived by her brother, Marshal Barron of Rixeyville, VA; sisters Annalee Fishback of Front Royal, VA; Ruby Hensley, of Winchester, VA; and Doris Cox of Warrenton, VA. Louise was a member of the Bealeton Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Thomas Gray of Willston, FL and daughters Chloe Layman of Richmond, VA; Clara Gray (Jerry) of Beaton, VA; and Margo Town (Dale) of Fredericksburg, VA; 8 grandchildren, Selina, Meloney, Tanya, Shane, Mandy, Nichole, Carol, Brent and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Clore-English Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, April 10, 2023. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow services in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, 4160 Rixeyville Road, Jeffersonton. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Bealeton Baptist Church, 11172 Remington Road, Bealeton, VA 22712 in memory of Louise.
