Jordan Ripken Jenkins, 26, of Culpeper passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014. A loving son, brother, and friend born on February 22, 1987- a graduate of Culpeper County High School 2005. Jordan offered many talents, with favorite pastimes of sports, art, and music. He shared his passion for skate-boarding, snow-boarding, paintball, watching movies, playing guitar, and listening to music with his friends. He enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams –win or lose a dedicated fan – of the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Capitals. He loved his dog "Johnny", named after the guitar player in the Ramones band. Jordan's overall favorite band was the Misfits. He was loyal and stood behind the things he loved.
He is survived by his father, Christiansen Ray Jenkins & wife Pamela; his mother, Lori Walker & husband Scott; his brother's & sister's, Mark Jenkins & his fiancé Rebecca Gaidrich, Kristen Jenkins, Morgan Corbin, Austin & Sarah Corbin; his niece, Avra Jenkins; his special friend, Diana Stanley; his best friend, Corey Weidmann; his life Guardians, Roscoe Ford, Russell & Kathy Lane, Marty & Karen Brown; his uncles and aunts , Tim & Barbara Jenkins, Alan & Tab Cole, Robbie and Pam Cole, David and Judith Dixon, Missy and Marty Shurina; his cousins, Lyn Hursey, Frank & Becky Jenkins, Jason & Elizabeth Berns, Stephanie & A.J. Jewell, Tevis Cole, Gabriella & Jackson Cole, Logan, Bret, & Andrew Shurina; and his grandparents , Madison & Mary Ann Stalnaker. Jordan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Franklin S & Virginia Hazel Jenkins, Earn & Sandra Cole and great grandmother, Lorelei Herndon.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 23, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Hwy., Culpeper. Funeral service and grave side will be private. Rev. Sandy Martin will conduct the service.
Pallbearers will be Corey Weidmann, Mark Jenkins, Austin Corbin, Nick Christner, David Settle, Alan Cole and Robbie Cole.
