Bay worked at many places over her lifetime but spent the last part of her life working at St. Bernard Preparatory School, where she retired at the age of 86. Bay believed hard work kept her young and productive. She often said, “I’ll just be bored if I stay home all day, staying busy keeps me going.”
When Bay wasn’t working she would spend time with her children and grandchildren. Some of her happiest times were spent in her kitchen or around the dining table with family. She was a fabulous cook. She always kept a pot of chow on the stove and some eggrolls made for the grandkids. Bay also spent time outside in her vegetable garden and tending to her flowers. She had a green thumb and could grow anything.
Bay was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Protestant Church. She had a strong faith in God that she shared with her family. Even though we are deeply saddened and will greatly miss her, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace with the Lord and has been reunited with her husband.
