Funeral services for Maye Stricklin, 89, of Bremen will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Cold Springs Baptist Church, Mrs. Stricklin will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the funeral service. Reverend Tommy Graves officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 6 -8 p.m. at Moss Funeral Home. Mrs. Stricklin passed away November 25, 2016 at her home surrounded by her husband and family. She was born March 10, 1927 to Ray Dooley and Ettie Mae Forsyth Dooley. Mrs. Stricklin was a homemaker, who loved caring for her family. She enjoyed Atlanta Braves baseball and Alabama football. She loved gospel music. She was a talented lady who loved drawing and painting, sewing, cooking, crocheting and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her parents-in-law, Bart and Flecia Stricklin; a baby sister, Faith Dooley; brothers, Roy Dooley and Ray Dooley; and a daughter-in-law Modene Stricklin. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Leldon Stricklin; four sons, Greg (Maxine) Stricklin, Michael (Hellen) Stricklin, Donald (Rita) Stricklin and Billy (Phyllis) Stricklin; sisters, Anna Tubbs, Ruby Welch, Hope Fallin and Charity (Richard) Land; grandchildren, Jerry, Jeffrey, Donny, Danny, Daphne, Melony, Devan and Bart; 16 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
