Funeral Services for Max Randall Brannan, 77, of Cullman, will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Moss Service with Randy Sellers officiating; burial will follow at Welti Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 1, 2020.
Mr. Brannan passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Cullman Regional surrounded by family. He was a loving husband, dad and pawpaw. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany for 2 years. He received a degree as an electronic technician. He was a cattle farmer for many years and also grew cotton, soy beans and corn. He worked at Walmart Garden Center for 16 years before retiring. He loved and supported his Auburn Tigers.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Moore Brannan; father, Alpheus Rosco Brannan; and stepmom, Elizabeth Brannan.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Gregory Brannan; daughters, Tina (Michael) Horton and Joan Brannan; grandchildren, Austin, Kaleb, Hunter and Lillian Horton; sisters, Kathy (Doug) Burdette, Pat (David) Stricklin; nephew, Jacob Stricklin; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are Austin Horton, Kaleb Horton, Jimmy Gregory, Billy Gregory, Sam Gregory and Bobby Metz.
