Retired Lt. Louis Nelson Bradford of Cullman Alabama passed away on October 14, 2014 at his residence at the age of 81. He was born in Limestone County on December 21, 1932 to Roy and Gladys Blair Bradford. He served in The United States Navy in Norfolk, Va. and Charleston S.C. as a Corpsman stationed with the United States Marines. He also was a retired Lt. with The Alabama Department of Public Safety in The State Trooper Division. He served 25 years as a State Trooper. He also served as security for former Gov. Albert P. Brewer.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Moss Funeral Home Chapel in Cullman Alabama with Rev. Eric Martin officiating. Interment will be in Athens City Cemetery in Athens Alabama.
Survivors are: Wife: Ruth M. Bradford of Cullman Alabama, Daughter: Lisa M. Bradford of Huntsville Alabama, Sons: Jerome C. (Beth) Bradford of Birmingham Alabama, Nelson Bradford of Cullman Alabama, Brothers: Bobby Bradford of Decatur Alabama and Mickey Bradford of Trinity Alabama, Grandchildren: Leyha Bradford Coffey, Kristoffor Bradford, Leah Bradford, Hanna Raney, Great Grandchildren: Hunter Cole Coffey, Jaden Reece Coffey and Caroline Elyse Bradford.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Moss Funeral Home in Cullman Alabama from 5:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
