Bama will be remembered for her strong will to live, love for her children/family, and her unwavering faith in God. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many who even now are being changed by her witness for constant nurturing love and faith. Her spirit is carried on by her four children, Nicole (Bo) Scoggins, John Copeland, Madelyn and Jackson Chesser; six grandchildren, Hunter, Savannah, Breana, Noah, Phoenix, and Brynnley Scoggins; five sisters, Rachel Lichenstein, Melissa (Dick) Boyen, Layla (Peter) Cunningham, Thelma "Scrappy" Folsom and Melody Hill; a brother, Jim (Marsha) Folsom; and many nieces and nephews.
Bama was preceded in death by her parents, Governor James E. "Big Jim" Folsom and First Lady Jamelle Moore Folsom of Cullman; along with her two late brothers, Jack and Josh Folsom.
Her signature gift of kindness showed through her beautiful brown eyes, loving smile, entertaining sense of humor and zest for life will never be forgotten by our family, and her friends, who adored her so.
Pallbearers will be Jackson Chesser, John Copeland, Bo, Hunter and Noah Scoggins, C.K. Lichenstein, Stedman Flowers and Todd Hose.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Lee and Seth Armstrong.
Her life will be remembered with visitation from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Moss Service Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Cullman. Graveside services will follow at Cullman City Cemetery.
