Hubert Dennis Holland

Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Holland passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born September 26, 1945 in Miami, Florida to Hubert Holland and Sara Katherine Dickey Holland. Dennis worked for Sanmina-SCI in Huntsville, Alabama for the last 28 years. He served in both the Marines and the Army National Guard. He retired from the Army National Guard in 2000.

He was preceded in death by his parents Hubert Holland and Sara Katherine Dickey Holland.

Dennis is survived by his wife Mary Byrd Holland; a brother Johnny Holland of Andros, Bahamas; a cousin Melva (Kenneth) Wilkinson of Birmingham, Alabama; six God-daughters Laura (Garrett) Davis, Amanda Bentley, Latoya Hancock, Betty Mae Lopez, Felicia Sheppard, and Kelly Carter; a God-son Eddie Sheppard; one God-grandson Dylan Davis and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation was at Moss Service Funeral Home from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, August 16, 2010.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The Gideon’s International for Bibles or to the American Cancer Society.

Pallbearers will be Albert Byrd, Billy Byrd, Freddie Byrd, Tommy Byrd, Garrett Davis, Randy Roberts, Tim Sapp, and L. B. White.

Funeral services for Dennis “Dutch” Holland, 64, of Vinemont (Corinth Community) will be on Tuesday, August 17,
