Anne Genevieve Delaney

She was born July 1, 1924 in Buffalo, NY to Francis and Emily (Fryzowicz) Ciaglo. On June 14, 1952 she married Eugene Delaney in Chicago.

Anne loved the warm weather and being at the beach. She lived in Florida for 23 years before returning to Illinois to be near her family. She also enjoyed being in her garden. She welcomed many guests to her home and became a “Grandma” to many.

She is survived by her children, Theresa Chesney, Joe (Mary Lou) Delaney, Carolyn (Tim) Walsh, Yvonne (Jeffrey) Cernick, her grandchildren, Kyle, Maura, Suzie, Erin, Danny, Catie, Brian, Conor, Emily, and Andrew; her great-granddaughter, Delaney; and her sisters, Mary Kuyoth and Frances (Wayne) Mecca.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; her parents; her infant daughter, Colleen Delaney; her son-in-law, Jerry Chesney; and her sister, Adeline Sievwright.

Visitation will be from 10:30am to 11:30am on Friday, March 21 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 410 N. 1st St., Cary. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at Noon at the church.

Interment will be private.
