Robert M. Hoese

Robert Michael Hoese age 79, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Judith A. Hoese; sons, David (Susan) Hoese, Daniel (Laura) Hoese and Michael Hoese; grandchildren, Kristi (Matt) Chibicki, Kody Hoese and Layne Hoese; great grandchildren, Bryce and Brody Chibicki; sister, Sandra (late Robert) Frigo; brothers, John (Karen) Hoese and Thomas (Jill) Hoese and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by brothers, Frank (late Kathleen) Hoese and James Hoese. Robert was born on October 2, 1941 in Chicago, IL to the late Frank and Catherine Hoese and was a graduate of Bowen High School. On April 29, 1967 he married the love of his life, Judith A. Chinn and together they raised 3 children. Robert retired from Inland Steel with 39 years of service. He proudly served our country the United States Army. Robert enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing, car racing and watching his grandchildren play sports. Robert was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN) with Rev. Theodore J. Mens officiating. Private Inurnment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until time of memorial service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Juvenile Diabetes. Due to the current conditions of COVID-19, masks are required for attendance at the funeral home and the cemetery.
