Born and raised in Tennessee he was a proud Navy Veteran. Moving to Indiana after serving his country.
Raymond was a hard worker. Retiring from The Ford Motor Company after 40 years on the job.
He enjoyed many hobbies. Riding his bike, on the local bike trails, being one of them. He also had a passion for NASCAR. He never missed a race.
He is preceded in death by his wife of nearly 60 years, parents, and four siblings.
He is survived by his only daughter.
Despite his almost complete hearing loss he enjoyed meeting new people and always had a smile for a stranger. His crazy energy will be missed. May he be truly and wholly free now.
"Do not stand
By my grave, and weep.
I am not there,
I do not sleep—
I am the thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints in snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle, autumn rain.
As you awake with morning’s hush,
I am that swift, up lifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight,
I am the day transcending night.
Do not stand
By my grave, and cry—
I am not there,
I did not die."~ "Immortality" Clare Harner,1934
