Martha Darthula Riley

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert W. Riley; children, George (Mary) Green, Patricia (Anthony) Alessandri and Gordon (Lisa) Green; 15 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 17 great great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Daisy (Robert) Guthrie, Doris (Dennis) Polley, Gladys (Jerry) Ehrhardt and Bonnie (Mike) Hillstrom.

Preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Green; sister, Joyce Booth and brothers, Robert Manus, C.J. Manus and John Manus.

Martha was born on July 17, 1930 in Decatur, Alabama to the late Benjamin Shelton and Sarah Manus. She graduated from Sunflower High School in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Martha worked at Walt's Food Center in Dyer, IN until she was 77 years of age. She retired from full time work from Revere Sugar in Chicago, IL. She and Robert enjoyed traveling all over the country, Canada and Mexico.

Martha was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great-grandmother and friend and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched.

Martha will be laid to rest privately by the family at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
