Joan was a person who left her mark with you upon meeting her. Her family described her hobbies to be the love of travel, dinners with friends, visiting with grandkids, and quality time making memories with her entire family. She worked as a waitress for many years, and often would talk about how she enjoyed that position. Joan was an active parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Parish and went as often as she could in her later years. She liked to listen to music, read a good book, and take in a good classic film. Her generosity and caring heart will be missed by all who loved her.
A public visitation for Joan will be held Monday, July 26, 2021 from 9AM to 11AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307. A funeral service will begin at 11AM with Rev. Martin Dobrzynski officiating. Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery, 16201 104th Ave., Orland Park, IL 60467.
