Jacquelyn R. Kapetanovic

Jackie R. Kapetanovic, age 79, of Hammond, IN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Orpha Charlton. She is survived by her husband, Anthony Kapetanovic, and daughters Julie (Richard) Whited, Kristyn (Isaac) Childres, Rebecca Brockett and Sarah Kapetanovic. She had 8 grandchildren: Steven, Angelica, Erica, Hannah, Nicholas, Lance, Jackie and Eddie. She taught English at Calumet High School for 31 years. She graduated from Lanphier High School in Springfield, Ill., and Western Illinois University. She earned a master’s degree from Purdue University Calumet. A public visitation for Jacquelyn will be held Monday, November 28, 2022, from 10AM to 12PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, Indiana 46307. Her funeral service will begin at 12PM with Pastor Esta Rosario officiating. Jackie's final resting place will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemtery in the Garden of Salvation.
