Harvey "Jack" Grady

Harvey "Jack" Grady, age 77, of Dyer, Indiana, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2015 at his residence, with his loving family and his wife of 54 years at his side. Jack was born December 3, 1937, in Bessmer, Alabama, to the late Bud Grady and Inez (Berryhill) Grady Graves. Also preceding him in death are his brothers, Howard and Bob Grady. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Judy (Smith) Grady; his children: Keith (Cyndi) Grady and Wendy (Curt) Crithcher; and grandchildren: Chelsea (James) Nolan, Jarrett Grady, Tori Critcher, Ali Crithcher, and Madi Critcher. Mr. Grady was an operating engineer for local #150 Merrillville for over forty years. Jack was a faithful member of Lake Hills Baptist Church, and a servant of the Lord. At Lake Hills Baptist he selflessly served as Deacon, Head Usher, and volunteered many services as needed, from mechanic, to maintenance, and candy distributor towards children. He was a classic car restoration enthusiast, restoring dozens of classic cars. He a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him. Visitation will be Monday, November 9, 2015 from 3:00- 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave; Schererville, IN 46375). Funeral will be Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with a visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Lake Hills Baptist Church (9209 W. 85th Ave. Schererville, IN) with Pastor Humber officiating.
