Alice Jane Clark age 88, peacefully passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018.
She is survived by her children, Gerald (Dee Dee) Clark, James (Diane) Clark, Jack (Sandy) Clark, Jeff (late Sheila) Clark and Jane (Lee) Wright; grandchildren, Michelle (Lloyd) Keeler, Heather (John) Dumbsky, Jennifer (Dan) Barry, Ryan (Kristy) Clark, Doug Reder, Michael (Kayla) Clark, Shawn (Katie) Clark, Billy Clark, Kyle Wright and Ashlee Wright; great-grandchildren, Christopher (Sierra) Brown, Dedra (James) Seeley, Jaqueline Dumbsky, Katherine Dumbsky, Samuel Dumbsky, Thomas Carol, Ronald Keneson, Michael Keneson, Elizabeth Keneson, Elijah Clark, Emma Parker, Olivia Clark, Noah Clark, Charlie Clark, Molly Clark, Louis Reder, Wesley Reder and Sasha Clark; great-great grandchildren, Francesca Seeley and Emerson Seeley; sister, Leona Cornish; brother, Sigmund (Clara) Hanus; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald I. Clark; brother, Richard (late Mona) Hanus; grandchildren, Crystal Clark, Thomas Reder, Chad Clark and Jason Clark; son in law, Frank Sauzer and grand son in law, Frank Martinu.
Alice was born on October 18, 1929 in Hammond, IN to Sigmund and Victoria Hanus and was a graduate of Hammond High School. On October 16, 1949 she married the love of her life, Gerald Clark and together they raised five children. Alice worked as the fountain manager at Newberry's Dime Store and later was the lunch lady at St. Michael Church and Hohman Elementary. She was a longtime member of St. Michael Church, the Rosary Society and the Schererville Women's Club. Alice was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.
