Roberta was born in New York City on April 15, 1925 to the late Maurice and Hattie (Berkowitz) Cassen.
She was the owner of Van Wyck Liquors, Croton Hardware and Garcia Construction Corp. with her husband Frank R. Garcia who passed away on February, 10, 2007.
Roberta is survived by her three beloved children, Frank Garcia (Michele), Edward Garcia and Diane Franich (Anthony); adoring grandchildren, Mark Garcia (Molly), Denise Egan (Gus), Tina Tobin (Chris), Larry Bova (Koreen), Melanie Pecoy (Jon) and Lucas Garcia; loving great grandchildren, Dylan, Dorian, Lenna, James, Mackenzie and Lucy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be deeply missed.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Bethel Cemetery in Croton-on-Hudson.
