Patrice Miano, of Croton-on-Hudson, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 after a long and fierce fight with cancer that left all who knew her truly inspired. To all who loved her, Patrice was Patti. She was born March 9, 1958 in Bronxville, NY to John (Jack) and Mary Marcel. Both predecease her. Patti was also predeceased by her sister Suzanne Tompkins of Mystic, CT.
Patti was a true light in this world. She was selfless, caring, and had a rare ability to make those that she spoke to feel as though they were the most important person in the room. She always met challenges with profound courage and of course a bit of humor. All that knew her are better for it.
Patti is survived by her dedicated husband Tom, who was always by her side fighting this battle with her hand-in-hand. She is also survived by her loving stepson Chris Miano (Steph) of Great Barrington, MA and stepdaughter Jessi Miano of New Orleans. Also surviving her are her brother John Marcel (Nina) of Briarcliff Manor and sister Renee Fanelli of Aberdeen, Maryland, brother and sister-in-law Steven Miano and Rosanne Mistretta of Philadelphia. Patti also is survived by 8 nieces and nephews. She was also a Great Aunt to six.
Patti was employed for many years at KPMG in New York City, serving as Director of Practice Administration. She took great pride in her career and continued to work until almost the very end of her journey. Patti was also a proud Maria Regina High School and Iona College Alumna.
She will be profoundly missed by all who were touched by her kind and welcoming presence.
Due to current COVID 19 safety restrictions there are no scheduled events. The family plans a future event to honor her when all can gather safely.
In lieu of flowers, Patti would be proud to have gifts made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the American Cancer Society, two organizations very dear to her heart
