Mary Lou Nelson

Mary Lou Patricia Nelson (Bubolo), age 71 of Cortlandt Manor, NY, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014. Mary Lou was born to Joseph and Patricia Nelson on December 22, 1942. Mary Lou's love for life was shared with young people as she owned and operated "Little Beaver Day Camp" in Leverett, MA just outside of Amherst. After moving to NY in 1969, where she was a teacher in Manhattan, she and her family moved to Ossining, NY. After the move she began at PepsiCo International in Purchase, NY as an Executive Assistant. Mary Lou traveled extensively and whatever part of the world she was in, people gravitated to her warm, gentle and elegant qualities. Mary Lou is survived by her sons, Michael Bubolo and daughter-in-law Kim Bubolo, Vincent Bubolo and daughter-in-law Ginger Bubolo; her daughter, Patricia Kelley Rubbo (Bubolo) and son-in-law Eric Rubbo. She was very proud of her six grandchildren who range in age from 21 to 6 years old, Michael, Connor, Ashley, Cage, Allison and Caine. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 41 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday June 6th at St. Augustine's RC Church in Ossining. A Celebration of Life following the Mass will be at the Cortlandt Yacht Club in Montrose, NY. All are welcome.
