Louis Roman of Croton-on-Hudson, NY passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021 at the age of 77. Louis was born to the late Louis and Regina (Sonnemann) Roman on April 23, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY. He had an electrical engineering background and career in the New York City construction industry as an Electrician and member of Local Union #3, I.B.E.W.
Louis is survived by his partner of 34 years: Mary (Sunshine); his children: Darin, Joy and Dawn - and her spouse, Gene; Mary’s children: Rob and Lori - and their spouses, Jenn and Lenny respectively; his grandchildren: Ryan, Alex, Emma, Paul, Gianna and Dominic; and his loving pets: Zeke and Zoe. Louis was an avid listener and lover of music. When his children were growing up he would often place various records on the turntable while they played in the living room, introducing and influencing their love for and appreciation of music. He had a great sense of adventure and love of travel which he also shared with his children via many road trips, camping trips and vacations throughout the United States.
Louis thoroughly enjoyed his frequent travels and vacations with Mary, to various destinations in Europe, South America, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and many of the Sandals Resorts throughout the Caribbean. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren, and visits with them in Georgia, New York and California were highly anticipated and cherished. When not visiting family or traveling, Louis and Mary had enjoyed hosting and cooking for large and small gatherings of family and friends, especially during the holidays.
Always in our thoughts. Forever in our hearts.
