Beloved Kim,
You share Louisa's birthday and you were there, in the parish office, in between services, on Christmas eve 1997, when David received our call that Louisa had become our daughter. When we first came to St. A's,  we watched your Cody being baptized. Later, your beautiful Chelsea danced with  me. We were so proud of her and Cody and so blessed to know you and Lon.  Your were a blessing to us all.  You are forever in our hearts. So are you, Lon, Cody and Chelsea.

I had the opportunity to work with Kim and will always remember her sparkle, zest for life and kindness.  Her life created many "ripples" and I know the world is a better place because she was here. To the Westphal/McBride family....
There are no words that describe the sadness I felt when I heard of Kim's passing. Us Gray girls grew up with the McBride girls and we were constantly together. My heart aches for the family. Taken so soon, I hope that God is ready for that little, wonderful ball of fire known as Kim. She had a smile that lit up the room. I miss you already, knowing that your earthly body is gone but happy that you are at peace. Rest easy, Kimmie!

We were so sad when we heard about Kim. 
I worked with Kim for many years and have such funny happy memories of parties we attended and planned. She brightened a lot of my mornings with her great sense of humor which started my day with laughter.
I will hold those memories close to my heart and I know they will bring a smile to my face as she always did. You are in my thoughts.

Kim was there for me every day during my first post-college teaching experience and beyond. She built my confidence, supported me and helped me grow as a teacher. From day 1, she made me feel a part of the team. She lit up the room with her loud wit and humor. I admired the way she talked to and worked with her students in such an open and honest way. She was a joy to be around and will be missed greatly.

Westphal Family,--We are all so sad for the loss of such a wonderful teacher. Mrs. Westphal was so kind and loved my three sons. They are all heartbroken over her loss. We will never forget her, and my boys will always remember how much she cared and helped them shine in middle school! We pray for you all, we know she will be missed so much. Hi, I want to pay tribute to a beautiful woman Kim Westphal. A wonderful wife, mom that was my friend and colleague, tremendous  teacher. Her tenacious, positive energy and love of making a difference in a child's made her valuable and important part of Putnam Boces and later for the Mahopac  School District instructional teams. She ,enjoyed life, with family  and friends and even opened an eye or two with her effervescence at times...Bold, Beautiful, The Best!!. What a pleasure to work with Kim. I would do group counselling.  Kim with her upbeat attitude and deep understanding of each child was the teacher and Counselor combined. She will be so missed!

Westphal family - We are so sorry for your loss.  Kim was a wonderful teacher to our son. He was incredibly nervous upon entering middle school and she was the bright light for him everyday that gave him a love for learning.  Because of Mrs. Westphal, he loved going to school. She had a smile on her face every time our family was lucky enough to spend time with her... As typical concerned parents for our child, she lifted our worries and somehow always lead us into laughter.  She went out of her way for our son each and everyday.  We all adored her.  She will be missed. 

To the Westphal family..I was saddened to hear of Kim's passing.  There were a few of us who would have coffee every morning in her room early in the morning. It was always a bright way to start the school day. Her caring and happy personality will be missed.

Westphal family - We are so sorry for your loss.  Kim was an amazing lady.  My son had her in 6th grade and he loved her as a teacher.  She looked out for him and made sure that he excelled at his work.  I will never forget the first time I met her nervous and scared to enter middle school but knew he would be just fine with her.
