He was born March 27, 1941 in Charleston, the son of James H. and Pearl Shamblin Casto. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Margaret J. Casto, children, Bonnie Casto, Edward Casto, sisters, Erma Kidd, Delores Griffith and Edith Frere.
Left to cherish his memory are son, James Casto, III (Melisa), daughter, Susan Casto Smalley (Scott), sister, Mary Underwood, grandchildren, Tina Casto (Dylan), Sierra Casto Jones (Jason), Derrick Smalley (Mahalia), Brandon Smalley (Jennifer), Dustin Smalley, Jessica Casto (Will), Christopher Casto, James Casto, Brandon Young (Sierra), and Austin Casto, great grandchildren, Sarah Smalley, Jaelyn Scarberry, Melody Smalley, and Kade Jones.
Graveside Service will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens with Rev. David Miles officiating. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by St Albans VFW Post 6418 and American Legion Post 73.
