Jacob Brandon Washington Thaxton, 29, of Tyler Mountain, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on December 29th, 2016. Jacob knew how to light up the room the moment he walked in and he always found a way to bring a smile to everyone’s face. No matter the situation, he was always willing to help others and expected nothing in return. He was a very hard-working man. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching movies, going for walks with his Uncle Bub and Uncle Stevie, and going on late night river runs with his brother and friends. He was a dedicated WVU Mountaineer fan. Jacob had recently become employed at Wal-Mart and he absolutely loved his job. His wife, Jenny, was the light of his life and he enjoyed spending time with her every day. His twin brother, Jeremy, was his best friend; they had identical personalities and were inseparable throughout their whole lives. Jacob also had a special aunt, Vickie Legg, who he loved very much and who was a second mother to him. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Amanda Eggleston Washington; grandfather and grandmother, Russell and Mary Thaxton; father and mother, Jeff and Sandy Thaxton; brother, Jeremy Washington and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by grandfather and grandmother, Raymond and Clara Washington and uncle, Harry Vaughn. Service will be 2pm Monday, January 9, 2017 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV 25313. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be two hours before the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.tylermountainfuneralhome.com.
