Charlton was born August 20, 1971, in Jacksonville, Fla., at the Naval Hospital.
Charlton was employed with Distribution International. A graduate of South Charleston High School and an avid Star Wars fan.
He is survived by his children, Mariyah Hudson, of Nitro, Rebekah Martin, of South Charleston, Alyssah Smith, Charlton “Robbie” Smith II, and Genevah “Gracie” Smith; four grandchildren and one on the way; mother, Sandra Smith, of South Charleston; father, Paul Smith, of Dunbar; brother, Wesley Smith, of Griffithsville; half siblings, Lisa Applegarth, Paul Smith and Travis Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Charlton’s life will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 15, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, with Pastor Jamie Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St Albans.
Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service.
