She was born February 16, 1936 in St Albans, the daughter of William Sherman and Louise Edna Howell, Jr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Dalton Keith Drumheller, sisters Billie Joe Smith and Betty Lee White, brothers William Sherman Howell and Benny George Howell.
Barbara married Dalton in 1955 and raised a family. When she returned to work she worked for Coxes, Coal River Insurance and Citizens Nation Bank. After many years of service she retired from Citizen’s National Bank. After retiring she enjoyed working in her flower garden, spending time with the family (Especially the grandchildren) and antiquing with Dalton.
Left to cherish her memory are son, Jay Drumheller, daughter, Debra Potter and son in law, Jack, three grandchildren, Jeremy Potter, Jerrod Potter, and Jodi Drumheller, two great granddaughters, Juliette and Zoe Potter, nieces, nephews and special friends.
Celebration of Barbara’s life will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 27, 2024 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Minister Scott Pauley officiating. Entombment will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St Albans.
Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
