She was born May 18, 1952 in Peoria to T.P. and Margaret (Kelley) Miller. Her parents preceded her in death.
Surviving are her two sons, Jonathan (Christina Gerlach) Mooney of Peoria Heights and Steven (Amber) Kinney of East Peoria; two grandsons, Tyler Mooney and Dustin Kinney; four granddaughters, Tiara and Myah Kinney, Jordan Mooney and Hannah Rainey; two great-granddaughters, Kinsley and Charlotte Mooney; one sister Rita Sanders; two nephews, Tommy Sanders and Weston (Dana) Sanders and two great-nieces, Alexa and Avery Sanders.
Carol worked as a parts editor at Caterpillar, Inc. retiring in 2014 after 40 years of service.
She was a member of The Pentecostals of Peoria, where she loved to worship.
She enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles and being outside sitting on her porch. She loved her holidays especially Christmas. Carol would travel any chance she could. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and making big family dinners.
Her funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, February 24, 2022 at The Pentecostals of Peoria. Pastor Jeffrey Lashley will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
