Paul Edward Lyons

Paul was born in Denver, CO June 19, 1956, where he grew up until they moved to Craig in 1972.

Paul graduated from Moffat County High School in 1975. He was very active in sports where he broke and held multiple records. He Married Janice Villard Nicoletto in 1977 to this union they were blessed with 3 wonderful children Dale, Jamie, and Kyle Lyons. Later divorcing which led him to the love of his life and best friend Vicki, at which he was blessed with 2 more wonderful son’s Riley and Jesse Brookshire.

In 1976 Paul began his career as a coalminer at Empire Energy where he worked until the mine closed and he began working at 20 Mile Coal Company until he retired in 2018. Through the years he achieved many successful awards and accomplishments.

Paul was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting. Fishing, camping, bowling and cheering on the Denver Broncos.

Paul is survived by his wife Vicki, Children Dale Lyons and Jimmy Bryan, Kyle (Kacey) Lyons, Jamie Howell and Matt Howell, Riley (Samantha) Brookshire and Jesse Brookshire.

Siblings – Ray, Robbie, Dave (Brenda) Lyons and Cindy (Ken) Peterson. Sister-in-law Debbie (Lloyd) Dean.

Grandchildren – Trystan, Kodi, and Chason Lyons, Gunner Howell, Renee, Ivan, Isla, and Willa Dawn Brookshire. Along with too many nieces, nephews and cousins to mention.

Paul is joining in Heaven – Parents Ralph and Ann, brother Barry, sister Janie and her husband Billy Mills. In-laws Ben and Loleta Waters, Beverly Thorton, and niece Gloria Dean.

Paul will be greatly missed and loved forever,

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 15, 2024, at The Journey at First Baptist Church in Craig. Interment will be held at the Craig Cemetery. A celebration of his life will immediately follow at the O.P. Bar and Grill.
